Who We Are

Jennifer Nair is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Graceful Heart Foundation (GHF). Graceful Heart’s mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of cardiac kids and their families by providing access to critical medical care.

Jennifer founded GHF in 2021 with a passion to fulfill this mission, knowing first-hand the challenges that caregivers of medically complex children face, and how it affects the entire family.

In 2017, Jennifer and her husband gave birth to a baby girl with a rare and serious congenital heart defect. Their daughter would ultimately require open heart surgery to survive, but the journey to reach that point was arduous. With the complexity of other underlying health conditions, life was filled with endless specialist appointments, feeding tubes, and hospital stays. With two other small children at home and her husband’s long work hours as a Cardiologist, Jennifer depended upon the help of others. She felt immensely blessed to have the means and resources to be able to provide the best care possible for her family, and felt drawn to help others who didn’t have such luxuries.

Prior to establishing GHF, Jennifer owned a professional event planning company, worked in healthcare marketing for OrthoIndy, and was the marketing coordinator responsible for promoting the Carmel City Center project and Carmel Arts & Design District initiative.

Her past philanthropic experience namely includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, volunteering with the Arthritis Foundation, and supporting Domestic Violence survivors as sister of Alpha Chi Omega.

A Hoosier native, she graduated from Ball State University and studied abroad at Westminster College in London, England. She now resides in Carmel, Indiana with her husband and three children.
